oh susan, thank you for always making me smile and hungry for deliciousness. and for impressing upon me, your reader, that food heals, and MUST fill your heart and soul too. i loved the E. B. WHITE quotes, particularly because i have one remaining chicken, who lays a beautiful egg, every other day. she follows me around the yard and talks to me. just so lovely.

Oh, Mala! You must write a children’s story about your chicken! Possibly, get 2-3 more chickens so she has friends in your yard! Especially in this chaotic world we live in today… Your lovely, generous, productive hen needs clucking companionship!! ❣️

Thanks Susan, I always love your newsletters and photos of delicious food. Good to remember the other potassium sources. Happy harvest season. The best time to cook in my mind. Here's to starting lots of soups. Sophie and I just recently started buying lamb from a woman in Lincoln who raises sheep. It is delicious, happy sheep and makes the best lamb stew.
